Lady Liberty Cries Out

"New York, New York, ...'How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn't let me.'" Matthew 23:37b

Over and over I hear this cry in my spirit. These are the words Jesus spoke over Jerusalem... but I am hearing them over New York.

On July 30, 2018 the Lord specifically spoke to me, "Lady Liberty speaks out for the unborn who have no voice. Lady Justice says, 'It is you who have been blind. It is you who have hidden your eyes to the countless slaying of the innocent.'"

Since the turn of the year, I began seeing a repeated picture of Lady Liberty rising up and speaking for the rights of pre-born children. Then on January 7, the Lord prompted me to look up the poem engraved on the plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty. I understood that this poem would contain her cry.

An Excerpt from the Poem:

"A mighty woman with a torch,...,

and her name Mother of Exiles...

cries she with silent lips.

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"*

Vision on the Shores of New York (January 7, 2019)

As I read the last stanza of the poem, a vision opened up to me. I was standing over the shores of New York City. Night had almost fallen. In the distance across the water I could see a silhouette of the Statue of Liberty. To my sickening horror, the lifeless bodies of fully formed babies began washing up onto the shore. More and more infant bodies of all sizes were dumped onto the beach with each oncoming wave and began to pile up all along the coast line. Between the bodies the sea-foam frothed a deep pink, tinged by innocent blood.

Deep sorrow and nauseating revulsion overwhelmed my spirit. A renewed fervency of prayer and repentance for the unborn, New York, and our nation gripped my heart.

Then on January 22, the nation took notice as a bill allowing abortion up to birth was passed and cheered on the 46th anniversary of Roe vs Wade. Governor Cuomo said, "I am directing that New York's landmarks be lit in pink to celebrate this achievement and shine a bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow."

The Mother of New York Cries Out

The MOTHER OF EXILES speaks with silent lips, "Who is more exiled than the child prematurely cast from his sacred space of formation? Who more lowly and POOR than a naked helpless infant? The HUDDLED MASSES of 60 million babies denied the right of their first breath YEARN TO BREATHE FREE. Who is more deeply afflicted, distressed, and WRETCHED than the unborn rejected by her own mother and ripped apart limb from limb? Who is thrown aside and left as worthless REFUSE, as the bodies of tiny babies lying in dumpsters across this nation? Who more HOMELESS than the child stripped prematurely from what should be the safe and protected home of her mother's womb?"

Have We Already Forgotten and Moved On?

Today, 2-22-19, marks exactly ONE MONTH since the passing of this heinous bill in New York. Have we already moved on to the next sensational news story? Have we become offended and upset over this issue only to be slowly lulled back to sleep with the business of life and constant bombardment of media?

Friends, we can NOT sleep on this issue. Be very certain that the shed blood of the innocent is continually on the forefront of God's mind and heart.

The Stain of Your Guilt is Before Me

As I sought the heart of God over the issue of abortion, He led me to these sobering scriptures. We are in a grave and late hour in our nation. It is a time for deep humility, repentance, and turning. It is a time to be sober, prayerful, and watchful.

This is what I feel God is saying to America through Scripture:

"I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable."

"Although you wash yourself with soap and use an abundance of cleansing powder, the stain of your guilt is still before me," declares the Sovereign LORD.

Also on your skirts is found the blood of the lives of the poor innocents. I have not found it by secret search, but plainly on all these things.

Yet in spite of all this you say, 'I am innocent; he is not angry with me.'

But I will pass judgment on you because you say, 'I have not sinned.'

“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”**

Since the passing of this wicked law in New York, I have been seeing in the spirit another sobering image...that of the Statue of Liberty tilted on her pedestal (her foundation) and waist deep in water. This is a WARNING...to not only New York but also our nation.

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,"-Acts 3:19

If we as a nation will not REPENT...if we as believers will not speak up and take a stand for what is right, then the silent lips of a statue will cry out and condemn us. We can no longer be silent. No longer complacent and apathetic. This is a time of action. It is time to open our mouth!

Open your mouth for the mute, For the rights of all who are unfortunate and defenseless; Open your mouth, judge righteously, And administer justice for the afflicted and needy.”-Proverbs 31:8-9 AMP

Raise Your Torch

Church, it is time to raise our torch! It is time to take the bushel off of our light. We shouldn't be blending in with the world. Lady Liberty stands an example to us."The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."**

Church, WE are that light. WE are the city on a hill. NOW SHINE!

The Blood of Jesus Cleanses

For those of you who have undergone an abortion in the past, there is HOPE. Forgiveness and cleansing are freely given through repentance and placing full trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.

Jesus paid the price for your sin and mine with His innocent blood. When we deserved the death penalty, He died in our place to purchase LIFE for us. He removes the guilt stained garments of those who put their FAITH in Him and replaces them with clothes of brilliant white without spot or blemish.

"Come now, let us settle the matter," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."-Isaiah 1:18

When an abortion is committed, it opens the door for a spirit of murder to come and oppress not only you but your future family line. Murder (abortion) must be confessed, repented of, renounced, and the blood of Jesus plead over this sin.

The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of the innocent crying out for justice. Only through Him do we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, and FREEDOM. He is able to heal soul wounds and deep trauma. He is the Restorer of souls.

Don't let the enemy use SHAME to keep you silent. Speak Out. The Lord is able to use your story to help other vulnerable mothers torn between the choice of life or death.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS.

"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14
