On October 30, 2023, I had a dream concerning IHOP-KC, Bethel Church in Redding, and other connected churches. Shortly after this dream, I shared it privately with a few the Lord highlighted for me to share it with. But the Holy Spirit has now been strongly moving on me to release this dream and word publicly.
MASSIVE CHURCH RENOVATION
In a dream I saw the International House of Prayer rise before me and then many other churches that were linked in some way to IHOP-KC. This connection appeared in the dream to me as blue spheres surrounding each church building. These spheres appeared broad and flat like the rings of Saturn. The outside edges of the church spheres were touching like they were connected or intertwined in some way.
I believe these spheres represent each church’s sphere of influence and connection with other churches. My sense was that the church buildings represented the many churches and houses of prayer that have been launched and/or influenced by IHOP-KC.
I was now taken inside these church buildings as a massive renovation was taking place. I watched as rooms were being cleaned out. Dirt, old furniture, and junk were being removed. In the center of a large meeting room stacks of old wooden chairs were being cleared out. The churches were being restructured.
The only other church that was specifically identified in the dream to me was Bethel church in Redding, CA. I saw Bethel Church right next to IHOP-KC. Their blue spheres were touching as if “joined at the hip”. Bethel was being renovated as well.
(I want to be very clear that no particular people or names were pointed out to me in this dream. Nor am I implicating any specific leaders in sharing this dream.)
This renovation felt like the HGTV shows where all the clutter, furniture, and parts that aren’t working are removed and the house gets a makeover. It is still the same place at the end of the show, but the house looks and feels completely different. Upgraded.
A SWEEPING WHIRLWIND
As this renovation was taking place, it was being done without human hands. A Holy Spirit Wind was blowing through and sweeping clean.
Like a whirlwind, the Wind began circling around me. I stood in the center as still-frame pictures of this church restoration swirled in a time-lapse of images around me. The churches were being transformed internally. The external structures seemed to remain; it was the inside that was getting renewed. The images went from dim & dingy to golden hued as this transformation took place. There was a light infused gold lining around the pictures of the churches that had been fully renovated.
In the dream all felt good and right. I experienced no sorrow. I perceived this cleansing and remodeling as a very positive thing where space and room was being made by the Wind of the Spirit for all God wanted to do. Each church when cleaned and refurbished had an airy, light, sunny feeling. The center of the main room was open and spacious without chairs occupying the space. Jesus and His Glory were again central (center stage) to each meeting. These churches were now free to operate as God intended.
“Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, A continuing whirlwind; It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The fierce (righteous) anger of the LORD will not turn back Until He has fulfilled and until He has accomplished the intent of His heart; In the latter days you will understand this.” -Jeremiah 30:23-24
“You shall winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the tempest shall scatter them. And you shall rejoice in the Lord; in the Holy One of Israel you shall glory.” -Isaiah 41:16
REFINING & RESTRUCTURING FOR THE FUTURE
God is working for our good. The cleansing is God’s doing. He is going to use the allegations and exposures that are coming forth to cleanse, restructure, and strengthen His church for His glory and purposes. This is part of God’s preparation of the church for the end times. His Spirit is moving and blowing in the midst of all the disorder and mess to rightly position and align His church for what is to come.
In the dream I did not see churches collapsing or closing. Instead, they were being cleaned out, refurbished, & refreshed. The old was being replaced with the new. There was a golden hue and gold lining around the images that swirled around me. Purification was taking place. Those churches & people within who will submit to the Refiner’s Fire to be purified will come forth with a golden hue. Pure as gold. Those who refuse to be cleansed will be blown away in the whirlwind.
“When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.” Proverbs 10:25
RELEASING HOPE
I implore every church, ministry leader, and believer to embrace the Refiner’s Fire. None of us are exempt from this purification God is releasing. Open yourself fully to be searched, tried, and weighed by Holy Spirit…even down to the testing of motives and thoughts of the heart. Humble yourself before Him in repentance for anything that He brings into the light. Submit to godly accountability. Be flexible as God shifts systems, structures, hierarchies, and programs.
Lift up your head and be filled with hope. Don’t let what you see around you bring discouragement or cause you to lose heart.
God is bringing glory out of what seems like a broken mess. He is releasing hope and redemption. With the refining of the gold comes the glory—we cannot have one without the other. There is a gold lining on the other side of this church renovation.
“He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the Lord.” -Malachi 3:3
“Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.” -Psalm 85:13
