DREAM: SEE THAT HE DOES NOT FIND YOU SLEEPING

Friends, I have been sensing a deeper call to come and meet with Jesus. In a recent dream the Lord showed me that a spirit of slumber is seeking to prevent God's people from coming to that meeting with Jesus to seek illumination and revelation.

In a dream on Dec. 5, I walked through an enormous multi storied library looking for an illuminated place to learn. Yet in each dimly lit room I entered, people covered in blankets were sleeping on chairs, at tables, and on the floor. I continued trudging through the library carrying a large heavy backpack. Everyone there was asleep. At one point I stopped and looked at one of the sleepers. As my gaze fell upon him, I began to notice how tired I was and how cozy the blanket appeared. I wanted to lay down and sleep too, but I shook the sleepiness off knowing that I had to continue on seeking a a place where I could gain understanding. This scene ended as I continued to search seeing a light in the distance.

As I prayed into what God was saying through the dream, in my spirit I heard:

"I have a wealth of knowledge, insight, and wisdom stored up for those who will seek Me. The vastness of My library of resources is beyond comprehension. I am waiting for you to uncover, to dive in, to learn from Me. A treasure is waiting to be unearthed."

"Yet, many of My people sleep. They pull their blankets of comfort over themselves and turn over to sleep some more. My heart is grieved. Will you not wait and watch with Me for even an hour? Will you not seek the illumination I want to bring to your eyes and the understanding I long to reveal to your heart? I am waiting to meet with you, to sup with you, to give you the revelation your heart desires. Shake off your slumber. Push off your blankets of COMFORT and FALSE SECURITY. Rise and seek Me while I may be found. I long to find you ready at My return."

"Therefore stay awake...lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake." -Mark 13:35a, 36, 37

"I am not so far off from you. Seek Me and you will find Me when you seek Me with all of your heart. Hear My voice calling you to come-come meet with Me. Come learn My voice and know Me."

Jesus is extending an invitation for us to come and meet with Him. He is offering to teach us, guide us into His will, and give spiritual illumination. Yet the temptation of spiritual slumber has crept upon many.

Hours before Jesus was betrayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked his disciples to stay with him and to watch and pray so that they would not fall into temptation. The disciples' spirits were willing, but their flesh was weak. In Mark it says that Jesus found them sleeping "because their eyes were HEAVY." Luke says that he "found them sleeping from SORROW."* Not only were the disciples fighting against physical exhaustion, they were experiencing something more.

Strongs' defines the meaning further. They were feeling BURDENED, WEIGHED DOWN, DEPRESSED, and OPPRESSED. They were experiencing HEAVINESS, PAIN, and GRIEF. I submit that some have given in to the temptation to fall asleep like the disciples due to the level of heaviness you have been experiencing. Awaken Dear One and come to Jesus. He alone can lift the burden you carry and give you the strength to rise up and finish your race well.

Jesus' admonition to the disciples and to us is this, "All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) {and} watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." -Matthew 26:41 AMP

May we be a people led by the Holy Spirit and not give in to the desires of our flesh. May we be sober, alert, and prayerful. Let us come to the Light of the World to illuminate our darkness. May we find our comfort and security in these trying times in Jesus Christ alone. He is worthy.

"Whatever the revelation-light exposes, it will also correct, and everything that reveals truth is light to the soul. This is why the Scripture says,
'Arise, you sleeper! Rise up from the dead and the Anointed One will shine his light into you!'
So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. And don’t live foolishly for then you will have discernment to fully understand God’s will." -Ephesians 5:13-17 TPT
