What God is Knitting Together

While in a time of prayer for our church, I began to hear repeatedly the word "knitting." Then I saw in the spirit the roots of many trees growing toward each other underground and being woven together into a tight mesh. As these tree roots became entwined, they were lending strength and support to the other trees in the area. I was led to pray for our church leadership and staff that their hearts be knit together, as well as, the joining of local pastor's hearts.

The next day, I saw a post by a pastor in New York who shared the incredible pressure and difficulty of pastoring while trying to maintain healthy balance. He included a list of pastors his heart is connected with asking people to pray for them. I felt the anointing come upon me as I read this and again the Holy Spirit began speaking to me about knitting.

God is knitting pastor's and leader's hearts together in a special way in this hour. I sense a working of the Holy Spirit to shift hearts away from COMPETITION and COMPARISON and toward a heart posture that says, "WHAT'S MINE IS YOURS."In the spirit I see pastors standing back to back and fighting for one another saying,"YOUR BATTLE IS MY BATTLE." God is forming a BAND OF BROTHERS among pastors. He is calling ministry leadership OUT OF ISOLATION and into BROTHERHOOD. I see Johnathan and David relationships forming among local church leaders in cities across nations.

As I continued interceding over this, I saw early morning prayer gatherings of local pastors. They were fervently praying, laying hands on one another, and battling for one another's integrity and holiness. They were warring for each other's marriages and families. These men were being raw and real with one another. They were holding each other up to a higher standard and refusing to let the other fall.

This movement of God is something that I feel He is doing to prepare His church for the future. We are going to need each other to stand firm and strong in the coming days. Those who join hands and hearts in unity together are going to be able to weather the storms that come for a cord of many strands is not easily broken. The storms I am speaking of include natural disasters, persecution, slander, and character assassination. As darkness and lawlessness increase, so will the enemy seek to bring discouragement, defeat, and even suicidal thoughts. Temptation will abound to compromise, let our love grow cold, to commit adultery, and even turn our back on the faith. I am also sensing a warning--that those who continue in isolation will shoulder the tempest without the root system they need to stand. This root system will not only lend spiritual support, accountability, and strength but physical financial provision as well.

Please join me in prayer over this, that local pastors and churches began to reach out to one another. That hearts be knit together in love and unity. Pray that bands of brothers be formed across denominational and church lines. We are one Body with Christ as the head. It is time for the body parts to be knit together in love.

"...the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and KNIT together, increaseth with the increase of God."-Colossians 2:19b
"...the soul of Jonathan was KNIT to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."-1 Samuel 18:1b
"I pray that they will all be ONE, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me." -John 17:21
