Surfing the Chaos Storm

Yesterday I stopped by a local store to pick up a few groceries. Inside the store I could almost palpably sense the fear and anxiety that hung in the atmosphere. With the unknown looming, people were piling carts high and clutching the last rolls of toilet paper.

I AM REVEALING FOUNDATIONS

While in prayer this morning, I began to hear the Lord speak His perspective and address the foundations of His people. God is giving us as Christ followers an invitation to examine what our feet are standing on.

"I am causing a separation and distinction between the world and My church. I am revealing the foundations.....What is your foundation made of? Is it built upon what is precious or worthless? Is your foundation stable or unstable?"

"For what can be shaken will be shaken and the foundations will be laid bare to reveal what has been built upon. If your foundation is Jesus Christ, then you will not fall for you have laid the foundation of the unshakable Kingdom of God which is unmovable and unstoppable."

"So this is what the Lord GOD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will never be shaken."-Isaiah 28:16

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ."-1 Corinthians 3:11

Next I saw a picture of myself as a believer in Christ standing surefooted on a solid rock. Around me broke an ocean storm of tumbling chaos with whipping winds of fear and waves of insecurity and doubt. This rock then morphed into a giant rock surf board. Poised, I stood bending and flexing with my feet perfectly balanced upon the rock. Then, incredibly I began to surf the waves of chaos. I was not only staying above the storm; I was riding it.

Unlike the world who doesn't know Jesus, we as Christians know where our feet are placed. We know that our footing is secure. We know where we stand, and we know who has our future. This is our opportunity to rise and shine, and to give an answer to the world for the hope and peace that we have inside of us. Let's rise above the commotion and the report of this world. Let's ride the storm.

God is asking, "Whose report are you going to believe?" "Where is your news source coming from....your prayer closet or the world's megaphone?"

"When you step into the unknown, do not fear; for I know the end from the beginning. My purposes and plans will stand."

Remember the song..."On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand."
