During a time of prayer this morning, the Lord began to paint several pictures for me regarding the Corona Virus that I feel led to share with you. As I worshiped, I felt the Holy Spirit emphasizing the significance in this hour of Beholding the Lamb.
The Lord brought to my remembrance a season, 16 years ago, where my husband and I walked through the valley of the shadow of death. I was pregnant with my first child...a boy. Our unborn son had been given the diagnosis of several severe deformities. The prognosis was death. In utter despair and desperation I was sitting alone in a small church sanctuary pouring my heart out to God. Suddenly I went into my first open vision. Before me flowed a crystal clear river. Across the river, standing on the bank was a snow white lamb. Immediately I recognized him as Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. As I looked upon the Lamb a voice spoke saying, "Because you have the Blood of the Lamb on your doorpost, the angel of death will pass over your home."
These words were fulfilled. My beautiful son, Nathan, is a Freshman in high school and is composing music in the other room as I write this.
"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb..." This phrase from Revelation 12 continues to ring in my mind today. In this time of uncertainty, BEHOLD THE LAMB. Gaze into His eyes and keep your mind and thoughts fixed upon Him.
"But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die." -Revelation 12:11 NET
In my spirit I am hearing, "Look deep into My eyes. I am not anxious. I am not worried. Come, enter into my rest. I have purchased life for you. Do not give in to the fear of death. Death has no hold on you. I have robbed death of its sting. My healing power is available to you."
We are in a season to be alert, prayerful, and sober minded. Here is how I am being convicted in my spirit to respond.
1. Be watchful and prayerful
2. Use common sense....wash your hands.
3. Take communion daily (my family is committing to daily set aside a time to worship, pray, and take communion for the next 40 days).
4. Apply the blood to your home. (Dedicate your home and lives to Jesus. Walk around your home anointing it and your children with olive oil praying Palm 91 over them. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ as a blood line around your household, property, and finances.
5. Refuse to partner with fear, anxiety, and panic. Trust in the Lord.
6. Seek God for practical direction, for personal preparation and guidance.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7 NIV & NLT
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." -Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
